Man in critical condition after shooting at apartment complex, Rocky Mount police say

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is in critical condition after a shooting at an apartment complex, the Rocky Mount Police Department said Wednesday.

At about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, officers said they were called to the 1300 block of Leggett Road in reference to a shooting with injury.

When they arrived, they said they wound a man in the parking lot of an apartment complex who had been shot.

Officers rendered aid at the scene and he was taken to the hospital for his injuries, where he remains in critical condition, according to the police department.

Investigators said they found evidence that an altercation took place at the location they responded to.

Police have not identified any suspects and said the case remains under investigation.
