32 people nabbed in Craven County/New Bern drug operation

CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – Law enforcement officers in one Eastern Carolina county have arrested 32 people on drug and gun charges.
Craven County Sheriff Chip Hughes and New Bern Police Chief Patrick Gallagher announced the arrests this morning.
More than 8,700 dosage units of heroin/fentanyl were seized, 5,650 dosage units of meth, and 460 dosage units of cocaine were seized in the operation.
Authorities say they seized 61 guns that were either in possession of convicted felons or that had been stolen. In addition, deputies say $5,314 in drug money was confiscated during the operation.
